Sorting Pixar Characters into Hogwarts Houses

Sorting Pixar Characters into Hogwarts Houses

Hello and welcome back to my blog. Today I am going to be going through many different Pixar characters and sorting them into the Hogwarts houses. They are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin.

Just to recap the houses:

Gryffindor values bravery, bold, guts, and chivalry

Hufflepuff values hard work, trustworthiness, commitment, patience, loyalty, and fair play

Ravenclaw values understanding, intelligence, knowledge, and humour

Slytherin values aspiration, cunning, self-belief and resourcefulness,

  1. Woody

Woody is a character I think that actually changed houses throughout the films. He 100% starts the film as a Slytherin. He is out for himself, he wants to be Andy’s number 1 but as the films go on and as his relationships develop he becomes so selfless that he turns into a Hufflepuff, don’t get me wrong he still has many traits of a Slytherin, his resourcefulness and his ambition, but he uses those skills to protect the ones he loves.

  • Buzz

Buzz is a Gryffinpuff. That is a Gryffindor and Hufflepuff hybrid. I can’t choose between the two because Buzz shows us that he is brave in all situations but he’s only putting himself through those situations to help his friends.

  • Sulley

Sully is a Gryffindor. He is brave and daring, but he’s also foolish to not think of a plan first. He doesn’t think he needs to train in order to be the best, he is cocky enough to think he doesn’t need any help. He is 100% Gryffindor.

  • Marlin

Marlin becomes a Hufflepuff the moment that his wife and all of his children bar one are eaten! Marlin’s drive is to find his son and then to help to save Dory. He’s so patient, he travelled for what looked like over a week to get his son back and he put in a lot of hard work.

  • Mr. Incredible

Mr. Incredible is a Slytherin. Remember not all Slytherin’s are bad. He is ambitious, he wants to be the best, even in a world where no one wants his help, Mr. Incredible is still out there fighting the villains, trying to be in the limelight. In the first film, he’s the leader of the family and even in the second film, although he lets Mrs. Incredible go off to fight, he only does that to try and prove to her that he is the best at everything, including keeping the family together.

  • Lightning McQueen

Lightning McQueen is a text book Slytherin. He’s selfish, ambitious, thinks he’s the best, arrogant, need I go on?

  • Remy

Remy is driven by his desire to learn how to cook and in order for that to happen he has to be brave, going into the old ladies kitchen and the restaurant to cook but it’s all driven by a desire to learn so for that reason I’m putting Remy in Ravenclaw.

  • Wall-E

Wall-E has to be a Hufflepuff. His whole journey shows him making friends with everyone he meets, from the cockroach, Eva, John and the machine workers on the Axiom. He sees the value in everyone, even if that person doesn’t see it in themselves.

  • Carl

This was a tricky one but I’m going to go with Ravenclaw because you have to be really smart in order to build, in one night, a contraption that pulls up your house from the ground and flies you to South America safely.

  1. Merida

Merida is brave, there’s no denying that, however, bravery alone doesn’t make a Gryffindor. She is also very selfish, she’s out for number 1, she doesn’t want to be tied down by marriage, she wants to grow up to lead her people by herself. She has strong ambition and leadership skills and she’s not worried about butting heads to get what she wants. Merida is a Slytherin.

  1. Mike

Mike is a Ravenclaw. He is such a smart character, we can see that he worked really hard to get to where he wanted to be. He obviously isn’t the best at scaring but he understands the method good enough to teach it to Sulley.

  1. Arlo

There is no bigger Hufflepuff than Arlo. He is so patient waiting out to see who was stealing his family’s grain. He wants to get back to his family so much and in the process is able to make friends with the one person he should actually hate. He is 100% a Hufflepuff.

  1. Riley

Riley, just like Arlo is a Hufflepuff. She is loyal to her friends and that’s why she feels so broken when she moves away from them. She’s patient, she gives it time to see if it’s going to work out in San Francisco. She’s a Hufflepuff to a fault.

That covers all the Pixar characters today that I am going to be sorting. Let me know in the comments below if you thought differently from me and I will definitely be doing more sorting blogs in the future.
