Upcoming Disney Shows to see in the UK

In the UK there are no Disney theme parks, so to get your Disney fix, the next best thing is to go and see a theatre show. In this blog I will be telling you about all the available and upcoming shows to see in the UK.

Frozen

Disney’s FROZEN is continuing to show at Drury Lane in London. The general buzz at the moment is that this is one of the best shows to see in London at the moment and it’s just been announced that the show will continue to stay open until March 2023.

The show features brand new music, from the married duo Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson Lopez, that didn’t appear in the film.

The show lasts for 2hours and 30 minutes and has one interval.

Mary Poppins

The Mary Poppins theatre shows at the Prince Edward Theatre in London and will continue to do so until mid December 2022. This was the theatre that showed Aladdin, but is no longer in production.

I have seen the Mary Poppins show, in fact it was the last day out that I had before Coronavirus caused the UK to go into lockdown and I have posted a full review of this show on my blog, but what I will say is that this show is not my favourite. However I do think it’s worth seeing at least once.

The show lasts for 2 hours and 50 minutes and has one interval.

Beauty and the Beast

Beauty and the Beast the theatre show was released in 2021 and was only going to be released for a short amount of time and only at select locations, however due to the success of the show, the run was extended.  There is still a chance to see the show but you have to be quick as it’s only showing at three more locations:

  • Between Friday 24th June and Saturday 17th September 2022 the show will be performed in London at the London Palladium.

  • Between Thursday 24th November and Sunday 8th January 2023 the show will be performed in Dublin at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre.

I have seen the show and I really enjoyed it, it’s super fun and the perfect kind of escapism.

The Lion King

The Lion King is continuing to play at the Lyceum Theatre in London, which is where the show has been performed for the last 17 years, making it one of the longest running theatre shows in London.

Bookings can be made for the show until February 12th 2023.

Disney Halloween Haul

Disney Halloween Haul

Hello and welcome back to my blog, today I’m going to show you all of the Disney Halloween Merchandise I have bought from Primark and Disney.

The Old Hag Decoration

 IMG_7120

From the Disney store I purchased this Old Hag decoration for many reasons. Firstly because she was the first Disney villain and secondly because I own practically no villain merchandise and especially no Old Hag merchandise.

She is so beautifully decorated, so iconic and the perfect addition to my Halloween shelf. She was a little expensive at £13 but it is so well made and I know I will be getting it out year after year.

Villain Notebook

 IMG_7122 (1)

I love stationary but in the past I have always found that Disney have never done the best range of stationary, at least not in the UK, however when I saw this notebook I knew they had stepped up their game. It’s quite padded on the front which make it feel more luxurious. The paper is also a really good quality. I’ve already filled up many pages with my Disney blog notes and none of the pens I have used have leaked through. I also love the added detail that you have an image of Maleficent and the Evil Queen inside the book.

I paid £12 for this notebook but I have just seen that on the website it has been reduced to £9.

Jack Skellington Mug

 IMG_7135 (1)

I took forever to decide which mug to buy in the Disney store and I am so chuffed that I picked this one. As the weather has been getting a little colder, hot drinks have been a must and this has been the most perfect mug to drink from. It’s a really nice shape and size, not too big, not too small and it’s really comfortable to hold. I also don’t own any “Nightmare Before Christmas” merchandise so this is a perfect addition to my collection.

This mug was around £10 from Shop Disney.

Ursula Hairbrush

I have been in need of a hairbrush for quite a while and I have been putting it off but when I saw this hairbrush on an Instagram I knew I needed it. It also took about 7 trips to Primark on different occasions until I found a store that stocked them. I choose the Ursula version but you could also get a Maleficent hairbrush, a Cruella Di Ville hairbrush and in Europe an Evil Queen hairbrush. Luckily the design of the Ursula brush didn’t interfere with the function.

I believe it was £4 and I was surprised to find that it is actually quite good quality. I have very thick and curly hair and this hairbrush works really well with it.

Poor Unfortunate Soul Book

 dhhhhhh

I’m not a fan of horror so there’s no way you’re going to find me reading a book about murder or mystery, however a Disney villain story is the perfect thing to read around Halloween. I have already read the two other books from the same author, “Fairest of All” and “Beast Within” which are based on Snow White and Beauty and the Beast and I really enjoyed them both so I’m looking forward to reading “Poor Unfortunate Souls”.

Primark Halloween Decoration

These Mickey themed Halloween decorations are probably my most favourite purchase out of everything I got. They were around £5 and I got them from Primark. The ones I got are such good quality but I do recommend you have a good look at them before you choose them because not all of them are perfect, some of them from the selection do have little areas of glitter missing but the ones I got were perfect.

dhh

I used these to decorate a glittery black mini tree I got from Waitrose.

That is everything I have bought over the last few weeks. Come back on Monday 29th October for a blog post all about The Making of Hocus Pocus.
